Additional Low Income Energy Assistance for Customers in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Washington Gas is informing the public that the federal government has released $5.1 billion to states for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, known as LIHEAP. This is more than double the amount of annual funding previously available to energy customers.
NOTE: VIRGINIA CUSTOMERS MUST APPLY FOR HEATING ASSISTANCE BY DEC. 1, 2008.
